This past weekend I had to travel 5+ hours to get my kid to an event. I ended up getting myself an Air B&B and for the first time in my adult life I saw no other humans on Saturday. I set up my work area and cranked out hundreds of eBay listings. It was a big success as I leave for my role as a camp director in less than two weeks and I have precious few days remaining.

This weekend I am headed for a working vacation. My kid has to be in GA about 5 hours from our house for a weekend shake down trip. I am not going to drive back and forth so rather I've rented an Air B&B where I can hold up. It was not that much more than a 2 star hotel and I will be able to stretch out and cook. More importantly I'll be able to get a lot of work done!

I got home Sunday from a work weekend getting my summer camp ready. We had troops from all over the council there doing clean up work. I was also pleased that about 1/2 of our staff showed up for a voluntary event and we likewise got alot accomplished. Plus the weather was great!

This weekend I'm traveling to the camp that I work at during the summer. We have a work weekend to start getting things cleaned up and ready. I'm expect three dozen staffers to be there so it should be good times!

I have 25 more days until I ship out for the summer in my role as a camp director. The ability to somewhat walk away from my business for 2 months is one of the real jewels of running an ecommerce warehouse. I have a couple of employees that will keep everything shipped out. At the same time I'll be spending some time each day checking in but I will mentally be checked out. This is a great way to recharge my batteries so to speak.
