This weekend my family is flying up to NYC for a quick birthday celebration. We are going to tour the Statue of Liberty and see a Broadway play. This will be a first for my kids so we are pretty excited.

I am interviewing a new employee today. She comes to me through a reference from a teacher that I knew back in eastern NC before moving to Charlotte. Sometimes it's amazing how yo can connect with people. I am hoping she will help me get more stuff listed on eBay as I've got piles and piles waiting to get some attention.

This weekend I get to be a fan. It's the opening weekend for college football and my alma mater is coming to town. I graduated from the University of SC and this weekend they are playing UNC in Charlotte at Bank of America Stadium (home of the Carolina Panthers). I have tickets to go with my daughter. Can't wait!

My family is going to have a picnic and do some kayaking to celebrate the holiday. I hope you have something fun planned as well that doesn't involve hurricane prep in the southeast.

Today is the first day of school for my son which means I am back to a full schedule. I was at my desk by 7:15 and cranking away getting stuff sorted and listed. It feels great to be back on schedule.
