Thursday WWII Hot Finds Newsletter January 15, 2015

I have this issue out earlier in the day than normal. I'm about to leave town in the next couple hours so maybe I can make this a habit. Getting the newsletter earlier gives you more time to explore what's hot in the biggest military category on eBay.

I've got some cool insignia in this block to start off this issue. I can't recall the last time if ever that I've had a 17th Army Airborne patch. Lot's of Screaming Eagles make their way into the Hot Finds but not this unit. Would you call the other outfit the Devil's Donkeys or what? 🙂

Easily the coolest item in this German block is the Luftwaffe uniform jacket. The sellers seems to do a good job talking up this piece and his photos are excellent.

The RAF flight suit sure does use zippers to a degree you don't see in a lot of WWII era pieces. I guess during the Battle of Britain you had to be able to get into this suit quick!

Check out the WWI block for a snapshot of the best selling live auctions covering the first war of the 20th century.

I am off to a memorabilia show in the upstate of South Carolina this weekend. I hope you have great plans for the weekend as well.
