Saturday I picked up a nice Scouting memorabilia collection about an hour outside of Charlotte. I've spent much of today sorting the loot and that's one reason I'm a little later in the day sending out today's issue. But it's for a good reason!
This weekend I am going to pick up a collection an hour away. The only bad part is that I have agreed to be a driver for my son's hiking trip which will put me an hour in the wrong direction Saturday morning. So I'll be crisscrossing the state that day but the good news is I'll have some fresh inventory and my son will have made some memories.
I am coming off a wonderful weekend at camp where my staff worked very hard to get things ready for the Scouts that will be coming in June and July. With luck this year I'll still have able to publish the newsletter while I'm having fun getting my vitamin D.
This weekend I am spending the weekend at the summer camp that I run during the summer. In my late 40s I've caught on a great summer gig as the Camp Director at Camp Barstow on Lake Murray in SC. So I'm ready to go out this weekend and start getting our staff ready for camp.
Well my trip to a Scouting memorabilia show in Alabama over the weekend was a success. I managed not to get home until 3 AM Sunday but that was due to construction on I85 outside of Atlanta. If you live in that area this would come as no surprise.
