It's to get more classic in this United States block than featuring a nice A2 flight jacket that is getting bids over $600 with a few days to go. I also like including scrap book albums in this block. The one pictured to the left is not out of this world great but I enjoy looking at pictures that are more than a 1/2 century old taken from the soldiers perspective.

If you don't mind bidding on an item from Poland that has a rough translation then consider the Wehrmacht hat pictured below. The seller has a feedback of "14" so there is that too.

A couple of auctions here from different sides in the fight are worth a look. The RAF life preserver has garnered 15 bids and is over $400 and going. On the other side we have a fascist Italian pin that is going lights out in a bidding war.

Click to see any of these picks from World War I that are among the best I spotted on the auction site. I'm not sure I've had that hat from New Zealand in the Hot Finds before.

Do you keep a magnifying glass handy in your man cave not because of failing eyesight but because you need to read those tiny hall marks and see fine details? I've been organizing my collection in anticipation of an upcoming show and I've been wearing mine out. You don't need any such visual tools today to click on any of these top selling items in the United States category of WWII on eBay.

On Facebook their literally is a group for military helmet collectors. I'm guessing that anyone who has joined that group should keep a close look on this block of the newsletter as in every issue I've got one or two or three great German helmets getting all kinds of bids.

I can't explain why when it comes to the Soviets in this run down it's never the gear that makes the Hot Finds but only the shiny medals. Every niche in the hobby has its nuances and that's just one of them. So if you like medals with pictures of dead communists then keep on clicking.

As I put together the Hot Finds each week at the end I take a peak into what's listed from WWI to pick a run down of the best selling pieces. All of these listed are live auctions getting lots of bids and are worth a look.

My wife grew up living next door to a Doolittle Raider. I can't make out Mr. Crouch's signature on that print below but with J. Dootlittle as one of the signers that's the thing most are looking for.

When helmets in this category are bringing $700 at auction that doesn't usually raise many eyebrows. It looks like the hat pictured to the bottom right didn't survive the eBay nannies as it's been terminated early.

You never know what's going to be listed in the WWII newsletter. For example in the right hand nav bar I have a lot of "war time" nickels. On that auction there was something that left me scratching my head. The seller refuses to ship items to Minnesota. Now I can understand some far flung Asian countries but Minnesota? Anybody know what's up with that.

In every issue I include links to the top selling WW1 items in the last block. Many of these have crossover interest for military collectors.

I have been a Boy Scout for a long time but don't have a clue how to navigate using a sextant. There is an estate sale find pictured below. The bomber jacket pictured below is from Air Transport Command. Don't forget the links on the side of this block as they are also USA picks.

If you like interesting daggers then this block is going to put a smile on your face. Two of the ones I have linked in below are doing well with one over $400 and the other tipping the scales at $700+ with days left to go.

Today this block has a heavy does of Japanese items including some nice swords and an officers hat. If you are from Canada you might appreciate the shiny hat badge pictured below.

Found a number of nice German items in the World War I category today looking for a new home. If you prefer helmets then this block will not disappoint either.

I include helmets all the time in the Hot Finds but not many do as well as the 82nd Airborne 504th PIR pictured below. The nice bullion to the left is a good example from the All American Division as well.

While looking for helmets I spotted several German examples that are getting lots of attention on eBay. Click to see the example below complete with the liner.

Every issue in this block you can usually find a Japanese sword or two. Sadly they don't really photograph as well for that one thumbnail picture that you get from eBay. They all look the same at first glance until you take time to dive in and see what the other 11 pictures reveal along with the description.

For my pick in this block you can't loose with the USMC hat badge. This one is over $200 in bidding and is a good looking example of a classic issue.
