We are bracing for some nasty storms that are supposed to roll through the area today. I have a lot of work to do at the office so I really hope the power holds out! There is too much on today's todo list for any natural disasters to slow me down. 🙂
I have been off the air for a week in part due to the fact that my email provider decided that the template I've been using for a decade must be retired. So this is my first stab at recreating the familiar look of the Hot Finds Newsletter that many of you are used to. I will continue to tweek it for Thursday and see if I can settle on the best design.
The only good thing about the new template is that it is more mobile friendly. That means that if you are loading this from your smart phone it will not look like a web page with tiny images but everything will look bigger and "maybe" better. Progress!?
I am probably going to retire my website www.WWIIHotFinds.com but of course keep the newsletter going strong. I have never used it for much more than posting old issue of the newsletter and I'm about a month behind as usual. I've got to pay for hosting again and I think it's better to let that site retire. But don't worry the Hot Finds will still be coming out 2x per week.
Tomorrow I am spending the day at my antique mall booth changing things around and adding lots of new material. If you ever had a booth then you might know the old trick of moving stuff from one side to the other in order to freshen it up. I'm doing quite a bit more but it's long overdue.
I did drive down to Augusta GA and picked up a Scout collection. It was fun because this was a North Carolina collection (I know in GA) and I saw a lot of familiar items. I probably even met the guy at some point on the trail. So now today I'll start processing that and working on getting the stuff listed.
