Its always interesting to just take a peak at what have been the top selling auctions over the last couple of weeks on eBay. I was a little surprised only 1 Japanese sword made the list. However, the most unusual item is an Eva Braun dress. There have been several items auctioned recently that claim her provenance and they have done very well.

I really like collecting old patches. However, that doesn't mean I have the funds available to tackle these old pieces. This blog post includes items that sold in the last couple of weeks and the least expensive one sold for over $600+. OUCH However, when you click over on the link and see these patches up close you can begin to see why bidders were fighting hard to land these prized pieces.

While researching completed auctions in the WWII category I came across these stellar listings that all sold for more than $2,000+ when all the bids were counted. A few of these sold at competitive auctions like the three USA items that topped the list. However, #4 and #5 only had to rely on one bid to complete the deal. I'm glad to say I had a couple of these listed in my Hot Finds newsletter - always a reason why you should subscribe to it using the box found in the right navigation bar of this website.

When is the last time you saw a flight jacket sell for more than $12k? If its been a while then try clicking on the example from the 23rd that I've included in this post. The primary requirement to make this Top-5 list was the # of bids. Each of these items sold in competitive auctions with over 40 bids. Click on the text or picture link to see where the items finished after all of those bids were registered.

Aside from some of the top pieces I had in the earlier post (see Eva Braun dress etc) these were the best USA items that sold last week on eBay. You can tell that a single seller carried the day with #1 and #2 selling items in the category. The #3 and #4 items were both pilot jackets that went for more than $2,000. The sign that wraps up the list is one of those one-of-a-kind items that you can only find on eBay.
