Today's round-up of the United States category includes some good looking uniforms, knives and gear that is doing well on eBay.

The German category always has a couple of helmets getting bids but most times the question is what else is drawing the attention of buyers in the category. Click on any of these listings to see what I thought was noteworthy.

From paratrooper helmets to Japanese swords this block catches items from many of the smaller categories featuring pieces collected from the war.

The helmets and uniform grouping below are definitely worth a minute of your time to investigate.

Several good picks today in the United States category. I always appreciate it when the seller puts aviator glasses on the mannequin for the bomber jackets. Good photography goes a long way in this hobby.

The German category is looking strong for this time of the year. A friend is a real fanatic for VW buses and told me that around the holiday you see a lot of them come up for sale as people need cash. That might explain the reason why we still see so much vintage military stuff on eBay during the season - people need the money now.

Got a couple of interesting British pieces in this block along with Canadian and other state actors in the war. This block has a good variety of pieces from multiple countries.

In every issue I check on the World War I category to see what's shaking. This is a good bit of interest crossover in these pieces and many of them are 100+ years old now.

When I'm picking the auctions to feature in the newsletter I look at bids and the dollar amount. That's the secret sauce of what makes a listing a "Hot Find". If people are willing o pay good money for it then I stick it in.

My formula for picking auctions for the newsletter means that I often see bidding wars. When you spot a listing that has two-dozen or more auctions it's a good bet that I'll figure that's one other collectors will want to see.

Things get a little more interesting finishing out the newsletter because this block takes just a couple auctions from multiple categories such as Russia, Japan, UK, Canada and Italy. Sometimes there is one of those that gets a little more weight if I see there are some can't miss listings there.

The Hot Finds always finishes with a quick peek at the sister category of WWI. I don't quite fill it with a dozen picks that are outstanding from that related niche within eBay.
