The idea of a TOR calendar is one way that I'm trying to think of ways to help collectors. In the past on my blog site WWIIHotFinds.com I've built some postings but now that just serves as an archive for the newsletter each week.
Click any of these links to see the German items that rose to the top today in my category run down of auctions that are popular among those collectors willing to put down some bids this week.
This block has links to top performing listings in the smaller categories such as Japan, Russia, the UK and more. I know some of the readers will want to check out the helmets that I spotted doing well on eBay.
This World War I block has good picks such as propaganda, helmets, swords and a few other unique auctions that stand out as getting lots of bids coming in and selling for a pretty penny.

Seeing the Disney themed unit patches in this block is always a treat. Somebody has probably made a coffee table book with all of them. If not I won't charge you royalty for the idea.
Click to see the top selling German items live on eBay. From helmets to uniforms and gear you can't go wrong here.
The third block in the email features listings from smaller categories within WWII including Japan, Russia, UK, Canada and Italy. I take a peek at each of these to see what I can fit into this part of the Hot Finds.
I close out the auction run down with a feature on WWI auctions. All of these are listed in that category but you never quite know what belong - I guess the 1852 cavalry sword is an example of that.

There is a blockbuster auction pictured below. I don't know if its the fact that its from a unique unit - the 104th Infantry Timberwolves - that is driving up the bidding on the helmet and liner pictured below. There will be a lot of crossover interest on the Zippo lighter I imagine.
The lot of patches below isn't doing too much but the uniform pictured beside it is going for over $400 with 30+ bids. The seller has the matching pants but is running that in a separate auction which is always a bit frustrating for collectors.
I don't know many collectors that would appreciate the "trench art' that is up for bids in the picture below. Seems a bit extreme to have large shells mounted to book ends but hey art is in the eye of the beholder is the saying.
The auction that I'm watching in this group has to be the U.S. Tank Officer's tunic pictured below. She is a real beauty and is going to a new home today!
