Any issue that has a crypto machine is going to be good. I have never invested in buying some of these pieces to use in lessons but that would be a cool piece of mid-20th century technology to work into a lesson.

German listings populate this 2nd block of the first Hot Finds Newsletter of the year. You will probably recognize some of these bidder favorites.

This block has a mixture of items from many different countries. I don't know how many of you actually purchase items from sellers in other parts of the world but at least eBay makes it possible to do so.

The final block of the newsletter has items from WWI. Some of these are pretty unusual pieces and are getting good bids.

Click to check out these winning candidates in the largest category within WWII. These auctions made the Hot Finds Newsletter because they have lots of bids and are ending soon on eBay.

Every week the German block features the best of the live auctions from this active category. Many of the listings here are familiar to collectors so click on the link and see if there are any bargains to be had.

This block has a little bit of the kitchen sink thrown in. Auction listings for items from Japan, Russia, Canada, the U.K. and more. This listing is a little heavy with knives and swords today but I know that will make some of you happy.

Closing out the newsletter are the best live auctions from WWI. You can find dress spike helmets and other classics in this section.

Check out the best picks from the United States category on eBay in WWII. It's the most active on the marketplace which is pretty simple to see why.

The 2nd largest category is always German items. One of the great things about eBay is the churn of people reselling into the hobby along with new items coming out of estate sales and acquisitions.

This block represents items from many of the smaller categories including United Kingdom, Canada, Italy, Japan and Russia. The collecting niche gets smaller and smaller in these areas but there are some active bidders as you can see by these top picks.

The World War I category is multiple times smaller than it's younger brother of WWII but there are plenty of neat items. This block has nearly a dozen of the most active auctions based on bidding.
