I am out of town with the family but the newsletter goes on. Today's issue is packed with great picks from around the biggest category for military collectors on eBay.

I think I learn something every time I write these newsletters.  When I saw the white checkerboard listing pictured to the left I thought it might have been a coin collection.  Nope those are tokens issued by the Office of Price Administration.  Pretty neat read on these over on Wikipedia.

Well if you like German helmets this is the issue for you! Half of the listings I included into this block are those popular collector pieces.

Yes I did sneak an American bomber jacket into this block. It was too hard to resist and do you really miss seeing another Soviet medal in that spot?

The green uniform below includes a nice grouping of Prussian items including pants and boots to match. That's not my thing but it looks very clean.

The listing below featuring items related to the Doolittle Raid reminds me that my wife grew up next door neighbor to a Doolittle Raider. I believe he had been forced down in China and survived the war. I never got to meet him but as her parents were big anti-war baby boomers I don't imagine they talked about it too much across the fence.

There are several German auctions that are worth a look today. Some of them include a little history lesson which I always enjoy while building this collector newsletter.

In this block you will find some of the best auctions featuring items from Russia, Japan, the UK and Canada. I think every issue I have at least two Japanese swords. I guess those will never go out of style for this newsletter.

I do apologize for the broken link in the picture to the bottom right. I have tried to tighten up on that but every once in awhile I have a glitch in the system.

I hope you enjoyed getting today's issue a little earlier in the day. That is always the goal!

I had a reader write me last week and mention a few broken links in the newsletter. I've tried to tighten up today so I hope that won't be a problem today! Enjoy the picks from the largest military category on eBay.

Sometimes the listings on eBay contain some really interesting history. The lot below belonged to Delmar Starck who was a World War II Army veteran who participated in the flying of supplies from India into China over the Himalayas.

The nice uniform below is set to eclipse the $2k mark if the bidding continues as it has been. This is a Lativian 15th Division uniform and it's in great shape.

I saw one of those things on Facebook that made fun of the fact that kids used to make their parents cigarette ashtrays as craft projects in school. Well that really cool British one below was not quite so crude - it is nice!

Maybe it's just the picture but that WW1 vintage aviators helmet looks like a really bad Halloween costume. That thing is kinda creepy!

I hope you enjoyed today's issue and will come back Thursday for another issue of the newsletter.
