USA Flight Jackets & Uniforms Tipping the $1k Scale

Each area of collecting in WWII memorabilia has its strengths. The Russians have their medals, the Japanese have their blades, and the Americans have their Flight Jackets. Among the top 10 selling items from last week in the United States subcategory of eBay WWII half of them were jackets or uniforms featured below. As a group they all sold in competitive auctions and sold for over a thousand dollars. Having watched the category for some time now I think this was an extraordinary week for these pieces.

When it comes to metal and medals on eBay collectors are often drawn to items in the Russian Subcategory. However, for this blog post I asked the question - what about the other subcats?
