Now That’s The Best Picture I’ve Seen

eBay sellers should probably spend more time studying best practices in photography. I say this because the thumbnail for this top selling auction in the Great Britain subcategory has one of the best thumbnail images I've seen in a while and it helped bring a lot of eyes and bids to this auction. That is not a typo - 57 bids came in for this great piece of equipment and it sold for over $1,000+ in a very competitive auction. The rest of this distinctly British best seller list from the last week on eBay doesn't rise to the level of the gunsight binoculars but all made the Top-5 list.

What Sells In The “Other” Category

I don't know how many of you ever take a look at the "other" subcategory in WWII but I usually don't. Knowing this I went back through closed auctions to see what I've been missing. Last week on eBay these five listings were the top sellers and all went for a minimum of $200. I definitely agree that the John Wayne coffee mug belongs here. Looks like lacking a category for items from the Netherlands and Finland that those items were also well placed. Is anybody surprised that the photos did so well? The Usual Suspects Rule the Japanese Category

OK, so if you were going to research eBay and write a blog about the best selling auctions in the Japanese subcategory what do you expect would make the Top-5 list for last week. Hmm...you would probably guess 80% of the list would include the highly collectible blades and possibly a helmet or equipment piece might slip in the charts. Well if that was your first guess then you were right. I did that little research project and found five auctions that sold for over $1k in the category.
