This list is a Top-5 for auctions from the Great Britain subcategory over the last thirty days on eBay. Each of these listings sold fore more than $1,000 in competitive auctions. One that you might want to look at for sure is the RAF photo album. Here is what the seller had to say about the pilot, Fantastic original WW2 "RAF VR / Royal Air Force / Volunteer Reserve" grouping of 2 "Log Books" and "Photo Album" that belonged to "DSO / Distinguished Service Order" winner "Wing Commander David Brown". He saw action right from "June 1940 - March 27th, 1945". He started out as a Sergeant and survived the war after flying "61 Missions". He flew Primarily with "70 Squadron & 101 Squadron.

eBay sellers should probably spend more time studying best practices in photography. I say this because the thumbnail for this top selling auction in the Great Britain subcategory has one of the best thumbnail images I've seen in a while and it helped bring a lot of eyes and bids to this auction. That is not a typo - 57 bids came in for this great piece of equipment and it sold for over $1,000+ in a very competitive auction. The rest of this distinctly British best seller list from the last week on eBay doesn't rise to the level of the gunsight binoculars but all made the Top-5 list.

The best selling British item from the last couple of weeks on eBay ended up being a pair of restoration ready Airborne bicycles out of Massachusetts. After that it seems as if the Royal Air Force stepped up to the plate to claim some of the remaining spots. A single bid took home two different RAF Oxygen Mask listings on a buy-it-now sale. A BIN sale also took home the paratrooper helmet coming in a #4 on this list. If you take a close look at the final item in the list you just wouldn't believe that boots from 1936 could look so good!

A quick check check of the British auctions on WWII eBay reveals that a clock of all things was the top selling from the last fortnight. Judging by the # of bids that this wall clock received there are a lot of people who want to hang it up in their house.

Talk about bullet proof bids! The best selling British item over the last month had an armor plated high bid. It withstood a series of attack bids and three snipes to hold on for the win. Click the bid history if you want to see for yourself how it played out. Some of the other auctions in this top selling list were taken with a single bid because the auctions demanded such a high opening bid. The paratrooper helmet was an exception with three bidders in at over $1k. The auction was won by...you guessed it...a sniper. The final listing to make the top list includes some really neat historical information that is worth the read.
