Enjoy some really interesting listings that made the newsletter today. Anytime you have a poison ring and a head knocking mace included you have to keep reading.

There are some unusual items in today's American block including a pair of "double-buckle" combat boots that appear to have never been worn. The picture is to the left. Another fun one is the bomber crew lunch kit. Certainly a next conversation starter at your next picnic.

It's not every day that I have a poison ring in the Hot Finds. I don't know much about that listing below but to believe the seller it was used to store a lethal dose just in case you had to take one for the team.

When I stick British items in this block they always seem to do well. Today it's a very ordinary looking RAF life preserver that has lots of bids.

No this is not the medieval hot finds. According to the seller that mace was a German issue used in the trenches during WW1. Ouch that thing would put a hurting on you.

I hope you have a good weekend coming up. I've got a Girl Scout good turn Saturday and then Sunday church meeting. Busy as always.

I have a fresh issue of the newsletter served up today. this week I'm going to start doing some research on how I can grow the audience of the newsletter. Currently we have just under 5,000 collectors getting it but I know that can grow. I'll keep you up on the results.

I don't know how many readers would readily click on it so let me suggest you check out that Navy Hamilton clock listed below. It's over $800 in heavy bidding so it's a nice piece.

You can spot from a mile away that the German uniform coat below is from the Afrika Corps. This desert tunic is pretty hard to find and it's rare for me to have one in the Hot Finds.

I've got some nice Japanese and Soviet pieces in this block today. You can also find some interesting British items - I always am surprise to see how high people will bid on pieces of equipment.

There is a really nice helmet painted with the insignia of the Old Hickory Division listed below. The seller says it's all authentic and judging by the pictures I believe him.

If you know any big sellers in the category that might want to partner with me to get their ad featured in the newsletter be sure to send me a message.

WWII_feb_5

Here is today's newsletter written for military collectors that have an itch to see what's happening on eBay right now.

It seems like I've featured lots of Airborne pieces in the newsletter but the pair of leather flight boots strike me as an interesting find. I'm not the only one - I think they are selling for more than the rarest pair of Air Jordans in the store these days.

I am headed down to my antique booth today and one of the items that I'm going to hang on the wall is an old scout haversack. So when I saw the German Wehrmacht rucksack below I had to put it in this issue.

In this block I can usually find a neat British item to feature and today that is an airborne smock that has bids pushing it over $600. So far the reserve has not been met so I don't know how high it will go.

I don't know if it's really a museum piece or not but the German Ordinance Officer tunic pictured below is in great shape considering it's age.

I am in my new mode of getting the newsletter out earlier and I hope that works for the collectors who are on the subscription list. If you ever miss an issue I do archive all of them over on www.WWIIhotfinds.com. so you can catch them there.
