I hope those of you who stayed up late watching the Super Bowl and commercials are back and at 'em for a Monday morning. I've got a fresh batch of live auctions to serve up in today's issue of the Hot Finds.
One reason I like pointing out and featuring old bomber jackets is the cool insignia on them. The one pictured below has the patch from the 459th Fighter Squadron Twin Dragons. It's hovering at about $700 with some time left.
There has got to be something about that Mauser K98 bayonet and scabbard. This one is over $1700 with the hours ticking down. Now that's impressive.
The nice uniform lot below is a little different. It belonged to a Polish volunteer in the British Army. There is also a photo album with about 200 pictures included.
I don't know if the Danish bayonet below is really rare and stunning but it does have 47 bids so somebody thinks so.
I hope you have a good week and I'll continue to get the newsletter out earlier in the day if all goes as planned.

More than one readers has emailed to say they wish I could get the newsletter out earlier in the day. I'm a little hard headed but I'm trying today! Enjoy.
Well you probably won't be surprised that the size 42 A2 jacket pictured below is about to tip the scales at $1,000 if the bidding continues on pace. There is always going to be a demand for those iconic pieces from WWII.
Sometimes in writing the newsletter I'll find something that gets me to drift over to Wikipedia and I can read a lot of interesting history. The Panzerfaust ("iron first") below was a German tank killer that American GIs in the 82nd Airborne used captured ones in later stages of the war as they liked them better than their standard issue bazookas.
Any interesting items from the RAF that appear in this block usually do very well. Today I found a nice helmet that is the lead item for this block.
If you want to see something that is unusual and kinda a work of art check out the embroidered banner pictured below. I'm sure today that would cost a fortune but back in the early 1900s I'm guessing not so much.
I believe every auction in here is alive and kicking which was one of the problems with getting the issue out late in the day. I hope the readers like the new schedule.

I hate it when I get the issue out late in the day because I know some of your favorite auctions have already closed. I'll keep it short and sweet in that case.
Click to see these great American listings in the category.
I don't collect plane parts but I'm always fascinated to see how high they go at auction.
This block wraps up the best items from around the world including Japan, UK and more.
Even if your collection doesn't go all the way back 100 years to the first WW I hope you can appreciate some of these picks.
Getting the issue out earlier is a goal and I think I have a solution. Look for it in the morning hours starting Thursday.
