Here to kick off your week is a new issue of the Hot Finds with a fresh batch of live eBay auctions. These are picked from the top of the largest military category - WWII so enjoy.
The bomber jacket pictured below is not one to miss. It is close to $2000 in bidding and has a great history behind it. Considering the it came right from the airmen and who took part in 30 missions I am not surprised.
When I first started this email newsletter many years ago eBay seller pre98 was one person who helped give me a boost. Today I'm happy to point you to his cool listing of a complete set of German navy models. It's more of a USA item but sure it fits in this block of the email too.
The cool British parka pictured below is not truly vintage WWII but as is often the case sellers place items where the bidders are. So that means often times in the WWII category you will see items like this which are a bit of a stretch.
It's not particularly great but I did find it interesting that in the WWI category you can find listed a horse saddle. That reminds you that yes indeed it was 100 years ago that this war was raging.
Today once the kids get home we are going out to buy the family Christmas tree. Seeing as we live in NC it's going to be a frazier fir no doubt. Hopefully when my wife gets home she will be super impressed and we will save some ornaments for her to put up.

I am headed out this weekend with my daughter to a memorabilia show. I know you are thinking what is a 10 year old going to do but drive me crazy. Well I'm giving her one of my tables to monitor and sell stuff from. She owes her parents big time for some snazzy boots she conned us into so now she has to pay us back with some work. Wish me luck!
There is a nice named grouping to the left from a P51 pilot of the 8th Air Force. The listing includes a Distinguished Flying Cross among other pieces. Take a look!
The Africa Korps hat below is not the typical head cover that I have in this block. I haven't seen one of those in the Hot Finds recently so I wanted to point it out to you.
Since I highlighted an unusual hat in the German block take a look down at that British helmet. I have not done any research to see what theater or time period a "pith" helmet was worn but it's unique alright.
In this WWI block I've got one more helmet to feature. This one looks pretty simple to me but it's getting bids of over $200. I'm not sure what the Prairie Division was but I'm sure Wikipedia could tell me.
I appreciate the support and those of you who look forward to getting the newsletter. I'll keep them coming!

I hope you are coming off a great weekend and ready for the week. For myself I spent Sunday afternoon recovering from a Scout camping trip and now I'm up and at 'em. My big news is later this morning I'm traveling down to Florence, SC to take a look at opening a 2nd antique mall booth location. Enjoy these WWII picks.
Every week I usually spot an item that I don't remember having ever featured in the Hot Finds. This week it's the -American Red Cross- Vintage Women's Pinafore Decorated Nurse Uniform. While that might not appeal to every collector reading this issue it's doing very well on eBay and is over $400.
It's not selling for big bucks but an interesting piece in this block is the German medic bag. The stenciling on the front is a little homemade but the contents are interesting to look at.
If you look over the left a really strong piece offered in this issue is the Italian General Officer Visor Cap. It's got two-dozen bids and is over $600 so far.
I love this WWI block when I can feature a really nice piece from the USA. Today that would be the 82nd Division Uniform Tunic and Cap. I know some people in Fayetteville NC where the All American Division is stationed that might get in on that action.
The new location I'm scouting out is at the Palmetto Peddlers which is a really huge antique mall tucked inside a former industrial plant. If you want to see more on this store visit their website at www.palmettopeddlers.com.
