When you are breaking down a subcategory sometimes you can just focus in on one specific type of collectible. In Italy I decided to focus on hats and helmets because these have really sparked some bidding wars. Click these listings to see how they did.

Now this is a fun and easy blog post to write. Sit back and just roll out what were the top 5 overall listings that sold last week on eBay. I actually mentioned the Stalin signature in a recent email. What's interesting about that auction besides the sales price (in multiple $thousands) but the content is a playful letter with his daughter. While this listing and the P-51 only got a single bidder the other three auctions included here were very competitive. Just take a close look at the neat group of papers and maps for a historical treat.

Sometimes in this blog you would think that I am a snob. I pay attention to the popular kids like America, Germany, Japan, etc but I give short thrift to some of the other nations and their collectibles from the World War II category of eBay. So today I've built a post answering the question what else is out there that deserves your attention. These five auctions represent some listings that are off the beaten path but worth a look.
