$1600/ounce? Maybe More With These Medals

Those of you who follow Russian auctions know that medals are often the top selling items for that niche. However, it would be a mistake to think that the Soviets were the only ones who made stellar badges and pins during WWII. With this blog post I went back into closed auctions to see what some of those were in the last few weeks on eBay. These represent the cream of the crop.

British Auctions: Where Are The Bidders?

Although compared to the other categories in WWII on eBay Great Britain doesn't stand tall that same can't be said for these Top-5 listings from that niche. What's interesting is that these listings came out on top despite very little bidding activity. Where are the 20 or more bids that you normally see in the category on top auctions? Perhaps the sellers used the strategy of utilizing a high minimum bid looking for the only bid they needed.
